Place a 10-inch cast-iron skillet (or oven-safe pan) in the oven. Set the oven to 425°F (220°C) and let the skillet heat up for at least 10 minutes.
In a blender or mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Blend for 30 seconds until smooth. Stir in cheese and herbs, then let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes.
Once the oven and skillet are hot, carefully remove the skillet. Add 2 tbsp butter and swirl it around until melted.
Pour the batter into the hot skillet. Place the skillet back into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffy and golden brown.
